Race Weekend at Curry’s Collision
Recently, race weekend arrived near our neck of the woods in Hampton and the excitement was hard to miss. For anyone who has never been to a race before, it is an incredible experience. The sound of the engines, the speed of the cars and the energy from the fans make it a thrilling event.
At Curry’s Collision, we enjoy sharing that excitement with our customers and our community. To celebrate the big weekend, we decided to create a fun event right here at our shop.
A Fun Race at the Shop
Before the big races began, we hosted our own small race at Curry’s. Participants had the chance to compete in a friendly competition around Curry’s parking lot.
The goal was simple: race around the lot and try to win the grand prize. It was a fun way to bring people together and celebrate the race weekend with our customers and friends.
Everyone who joined in had a great time and the event helped build even more excitement for the races happening nearby.
The Grand Prize Winner
One lucky contestant walked away with the grand prize. The prize bag included several special items connected to race weekend:
- Two race tickets for Friday
- Two race tickets for Sunday
- Two sweatshirts
- Four Curry’s cups
- Popcorn and a Curry’s bumper sticker
Our lucky winner was Barbara Presley. Congratulations to Barbara for taking home the prize and getting the chance to enjoy the race weekend festivities.
Events like this are a great way for us to share our love for cars and racing with the people in our community.
Celebrating a Legendary Driver
This particular race weekend was also special for another reason. Fans of NASCAR know that it marked Jeff Gordon’s last race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Jeff Gordon had an incredible career in NASCAR and many racing fans have followed him for years. His final race on the track was an important moment for the sport and for the fans who supported him throughout his career.
A Special Tribute
In recognition of Jeff Gordon’s final race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Curry’s painted a car as a tribute to him and his long NASCAR career.
The custom painted car was presented to Jeff Gordon as a way to celebrate everything he accomplished in racing. It was our way of saying thank you for the many exciting moments he gave to racing fans over the years.
Being able to take part in honoring such an important driver was a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Sharing the Excitement with the Community
Race weekend gave us the chance to bring people together and celebrate something many of us love cars and racing. From our parking lot race to the prize giveaways, it was a fun and memorable time.
At Curry’s Collision, we enjoy finding ways to connect with the community and share moments like this. Events like race weekend remind us how much fun it is when people come together around a shared passion.
